Basic Human Anatomy

MY BEST BUD and I

Students who are interested in medical or forensic science careers will benefit from this course. The course will provide the learner with anatomical terms used for various body systems.  Students will research and present a brief history of anatomy (Hippocrates, Galen and Vesalius medical findings).  Reference points and planes of the body are introduced.  Finally, a comprehensive look at the internal workings of the human body and how they all relate is explored.  There will be many terms and landmarks the student will need to memorize.  Our course syllabus can be viewed at this link (http://member.thinkfree.com/myoffice/goSharedView.se?fileIndex=1405258).

My first impression is a good one.  This class seems like it will Rock!  Let’s see if I’m right.  Stayed tuned.

4/22/09

Anthony was stellar on our first chapter test (94%) which was the class high.  We ranged from 94-72.  Overall, I’m pleased.  Our study group challenges have been one-sided as the Odd Couple lead with 123 points, followed by Marco Polo’s 109 pts., Mr. creepy crawley’s 91 pts. and Lil’ ladies + 1 with 69 points.  I root for the underdog so lil’ ladies + 1 hang in there.

5/7/09

Corey was our top student on test #2 (97%).  He made a few regretable decsions on the test, otherwise he would have been perfect.  Of course, I expect perfection.  He shouldn’t let me down.

5/11/09

The first study group to report to me the color of the shirt I was wearing on Monday 5/11/09 will receive 50 bonus points.

5/20/09

Jenny was the top student for test #4 (skeletal system) with an impressive 95%.  Way to go Jenny, represent the senior class.

6/09/09

Ryan is the muscular system king.  He had the highest overall score!  (94%).  We will be finishing the nervous system and move toward the circulatory system soon.
